find out what we get asked about the most!

Can we bring the dog with us?
Sure, but kept on a lead at all times and clean up after your dog (please!)
What clothing should we wear?

Most clothing is suitable, but please be aware that on hot days some to the slides can get faster and we would suggest that you wear medium length shorts and long sleeved tops to avoid friction burns!

Do you open in bad weather?

When it comes to rainy days, we remain open! In extreme wet weather, some or all of the slides will be shut for safety reasons. The only time we won’t open is in particularly bad snow or in violent storms, but we always post closure information on the website and across social media in such cases.
I should stress closure is extremely rare, but if you are unsure, then why not ask one of our friendly Facebook team

We do not offer refunds, Crocky Trail is an outdoor all weather experience

How long does it take to go round the Trail?

There are two parts to the Crocky, The Trail and the Park rides. We advise you to give yourself more than an hour to get round the trail. As for the park rides, well that is up to you, there are hours of fun available on the rides.

Take a look how busy the park is when you arrive. If it’s busy, walk and ave fun around the trail first. If quiet, use the rides first, but do allow an hour plus to get around the trail before your session ends.

Is there public transport from Chester?

Yes, the 41, 41A and 41B buses from Chester railway station to Waverton Village then a 10 minute walk.

Is the Crocky Trail suitable for school parties?

Yes, we get loads of groups (big and small) from schools. Please get in touch with us here for more information.

Do we have to book before we arrive?

You must book your tickets online. Once we reach our safety capacity we cannot allow any more people in. We often sell out!

You can check if spaces are available on the booking calendar

Ideally, book 48 hours in advance.

When are you open?

Checkout the booking calendar. As a general rule, it’s weekends and school holidays / bank holidays.

We open ALL-DAY through Summer

Are there any changing rooms?

Yes, changing rooms are available at the Crocky Trail.

What time do the gates close?

We close at 4.30pm. Rides will start to close 10 minutes before. Please arrive on time to get the most out of your session.

What footwear should I wear?

Footwear with a good grip is necessary and footwear with ankle support is advised for older visitors (ie walking boots). Do remember that our English summers can be wet, so a change of clothing (and footwear) is a great idea. Don’t wear sandals or any open-toed footwear.

Is The Crocky Trail suitable for very young children?

Some rides are not suitable but many are, we even have a dedicated area for the little ones called the Wonderland with pixie huts, a bouncy castle, swings and slides and games.
